Sabinsa, the multi-national health science company known for providing sustainable natural, well-researched ingredients, announces the addition of staff in the United States and the promotion of a long-time team member.

Industry veteran, Kim Merselis, has joined the company as Sales Manager.  She said, “I look forward to growing with Sabinsa and bringing traditional ingredients, backed by science, to the forefront of innovation.

Her previous experience includes Business Development Manager  at Nutrition Business Journal and most recently with Kyowa Hakko as Director of Customer Experience. Kim has a passion for innovation and a strong commitment to high quality branded ingredients.


Darrin Fox has been named Vice President of Operations, Sabinsa Utah. Darrin has over 30 years of experience in production operations, including a previous stint at Sabinsa’s Utah manufacturing facility as Plant Manager from 2009 – 2012. His forte is listening to people while building a team culture and finding ways to improve processes and procedures.

“Sabinsa has a history of providing opportunities for everyone who is associated within the organization, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with a team and a company that share the same values that I have,” Darrin said. “We provide quality products in health and wellness, and our team truly cares for the customers we serve.”

Melissa Beddoes, who joined Sabinsa in 2002,  has been promoted to Operations Manager. Her responsibilities over the years have included inventory management and warehouse operations, and she has worked closely with the Quality, Manufacturing and Regulatory departments. Melissa holds an associate’s degree in science from Snow College.

“One of significant highlights of my career has been the collaboration with the programming team to help develop and enhance the operating system database, streamlining processes and improving overall efficiency, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to continue fine-tuning our efficiency,” Melissa said.
